What is AmeriPlan®?
AmeriPlan USA® is a Provider Access Organization. It serves as a bridge between its members and the healthcare services providers. At the moment, the company gives its members access to medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, and pharmaceutical providers all over the country. AmeriPlan USA® negotiates discounts on the usually and customary services of these healthcare pr oviders in behalf of its members.
Are there any limitations as to the age of the people who can be included in the family plan?
The family plan is very flexible. There are no age limitations. The only pre-requisite to qualify for this type of plan is that you are all living under the same house. You don’t have to be related to one another to qualify for the family plan.
How much discount can I enjoy?
The amounts of discounts vary. To know how much you can save on the different types of healthcare services offered, please go back to the home page. Clink on the button marked 'Click Here' for Providers and Fee Schedule. The link will give you a list of the providers. Choose a provider. Choose the “closest to the nearest address” box, put your zip code into the space provided and then submit your request. You will then be given the list of service providers and their telephone numbers in the area you specified together with the amount of fees and discounts.
Is possible to go to a healthcare service provider in another state?
Yes, you can go any healthcare provider in any parts of the country.
How much discount will I get for dental services such as dental hygiene, root canal and others?
For all restorative and cosmetic work (fillings, crowns, braces, etc.), you 25% - 65% discount. For preventive work (teeth cleaning, x-rays, etc.) performed by a general dentist, you get up to 80% discount. You can also get 25% on specialist fees. Will signing up for membership lock me into a long term contract?
No. There is no such provision in the membership agreement that lock you into any kind of contract with the company.
What are the terms of payments?
You can pay your AmeriPlan® monthly, quarterly or annually. A 20% on the membership fee is offered to those who opt to pay their membership annually.
How can I cancel my AmeriPlan®?
To cancel AmeriPlan®, all you have to do is notify the company 30 days in advance.
How does AmeriPlan® select their providers?
The healthcare providers are usually recommended by the members. The company also actively recruits new members to its network. To qualify as member of the AmeriPlan® network, the healthcare provider must have an active license in the state where he or she is practicing and must have professional liability insurance. AmeriPlan® verifies and checks the license of the healthcare provider as well as conduct onsite inspection of the healthcare provider’s office.
How can I be sure that I am really getting discounts on my dentist’s fees?
You will be provided with a list of the dental procedures, Usual and Customary Fee (UCF) for such procedures and the corresponding discounts that you can enjoy. However, for services like Invisalign Braces and orthodontics in process, AmeriPlan® may not be able to provide you with the detailed fees and discount rates.
How often can I go to the dentist or chiropractor?
There are no limitations on number of visits.
Will Ameriplan® give me Discount for Lasik Eye Surgery?
Yes. Ameriplan® offers up to 55% discount on this procedure. Please Contact Us for details.
Will AmeriPlan® give discounts on mental health services?
Yes, AmeriPlan® offers discounts on mental health treatments. You can find more details about this service by clinking on the “find a provider link” in the homepage.
Will there be an increase in the amount of the membership fees after I become a member?
No. For the next 2 years after you sign or renew your membership, you will be protected from any increase in the membership fees.
Can I file a complaint regarding the fees charged or the quality of care that I received in a dental or chiropractic office?
Yes you can file a complaint. If you are unable to resolve some issues with the healthcare service provider, you may call the AmeriPlan® Customer Service. You then be directed to the Patient/Provider Liaison for disputes on fees, quality of service and others. If the matter is not resolved at this level, the case will be elevated to the State Professional Board for investigations.
